Dissertation

This dissertation presents international zoo collaboration as a tool for successful conservation and conservation education. Following the Assess-Plan-Act cycle of the Reverse the Red movement, the construction of the dissertation is built around research, a quantitative survey and interviews with three experts namely Laurence Paoli, Dr. Kira Mileham and Dr. Martín Zordan. The presentation of the construction of zoos to progressive zoos and the different international frameworks define the main lines before studying two international conservation organisations, the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) and the Species Survival Committee of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN SSC).
Internship report

This internship report outlines my experience working in the communications sector at the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) during my Master 2, Languages, International Relations and Political Strategies at the Université Catholique de l'Ouest in Angers. During 6 months, working remotely, I carried out different tasks such as creating posts for social networks, creating blogs, and press releases. My missions also included creating articles for the newsletter or for the WAZA magazine. Being French in an international team, I used my language skills to translate the WAZA guides from English into French. WAZA's audience are professionals, every information published must be verified and proven. In order to diversify and to be more present on social networks I discovered the graphic design, simple, but which allows to make more active the Internet users. Thanks to the trust between the team and myself, I have been asked to work on various missions such as the communication of the Reverse the Red movement or the communication of the WAZA for the World Conservation Congress.
